Double Vision

As promised, here are some pics of me wearing my new harness. Mom says is works wonders. When I catch a scent of something, I still sometimes slowly start to pull, but that’s about it. No pulling while running ahead of mom. I recommend this one because of the padding under my arms, so no chaffing.

And because it was finally sunny out last night when mom got home from work, we went to the dog park! But when we got there, I saw a funny sight.

Who is this? She looks an awful lot like me!

laney's twin

It’s my twin!

Laney and her twin

Mom asked this other Sharp Eagle’s mom, and she said she got her from the same Humane Society, but when she was just a puppy! And we’re about the same age, around 3 years old! We might be littermates… who knows! But it was really funny for the moms to watch us doing the same things at the same time, like rolling in the grass and shaking right after.

Everyone who came in thought Kayla (the other Sharp Eagle) was me! Too funny. In fact, the only way to tell us apart from a distance is that Kayla’s tail is straight, unlike mine that’s always curly. Up close, you can see that Kayla’s face isn’t quite as wrinkly and more rectangular. Also, she’s a lot thinner. Hey, it’s not my fault that I’m curvy (or barrel-chested). Kayla’s mom said she’s a good eater, unlike me. And there’s not an ounce of fat on me, so mom’s not worried about it. Oh, and I’m a faster runner! But I get a lot of practice at the park, being a regular and all.

You do have a twin Laney. But more like fraternal. I am partial to the extra wrinkles.

Hi Laney!
You look great in your new harness! I think I have the same one! I got in big trouble last time I wore mine because I somehow managed to weasel my way out of it! That's amazing that you met another you! I bet you had lots of fun together! I had a sister with me at my shelter but we don't know who adopted her. I always hope that we will run into her one day!
