The Dog Blog of a Sharp Eagle (Shar Pei / Beagle) Mix
Thursday, April 23, 2009
As promised, here are some pics of me wearing my new harness. Mom says is works wonders. When I catch a scent of something, I still sometimes slowly start to pull, but that’s about it. No pulling while running ahead of mom. I recommend this one because of the padding under my arms, so no chaffing.
And because it was finally sunny out last night when mom got home from work, we went to the dog park! But when we got there, I saw a funny sight.
Who is this? She looks an awful lot like me!
It’s my twin!
Mom asked this other Sharp Eagle’s mom, and she said she got her from the same Humane Society, but when she was just a puppy! And we’re about the same age, around 3 years old! We might be littermates… who knows! But it was really funny for the moms to watch us doing the same things at the same time, like rolling in the grass and shaking right after.
Everyone who came in thought Kayla (the other Sharp Eagle) was me! Too funny. In fact, the only way to tell us apart from a distance is that Kayla’s tail is straight, unlike mine that’s always curly. Up close, you can see that Kayla’s face isn’t quite as wrinkly and more rectangular. Also, she’s a lot thinner. Hey, it’s not my fault that I’m curvy (or barrel-chested). Kayla’s mom said she’s a good eater, unlike me. And there’s not an ounce of fat on me, so mom’s not worried about it. Oh, and I’m a faster runner! But I get a lot of practice at the park, being a regular and all.
Also, thanks to Brind'Amour for these nice awards!
"This blog invests and believes in the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers! Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this clever-written text into the body of their award."
The second award is the Neno's Award and is given... "As a dedication for those who love blogging activity and love to encourage friendships through blogging. To seek the reason why we all love blogging. Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it. Don’t forget to mention the person who gives you the award. Answer the Award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging. Tag and distribute the Award to as many people as you like."
I love blogging because it's a way for mom to show off my cute pictures and many adventures with family and other dog lovers!
