Friday afternoon Mom found a package at our door. And it was addressed to me! I won the November dog photo contest over at http://thoughtsforpaws.com; and they sent me a Christmas toy! Check out the cool candy cane! Mom said it was supposed to talk (see the first video below), but it didn’t make any noise other than a click. I didn’t care that it didn’t work though, I went crazy over it! I love new toys!

Anonymous - I rub my back against the carpet (and grass, mulch, etc.) A LOT! That's the first thing I did when Mom brought me home from the Humane Society! I like marking my scent on everything and claiming it as mine! I do this to all the toys at the dog park too.
Jaime - It's my favorite new toy. And I already know which one it is when Mom says, "Get your Candy Cane"! So, I obviously don't care the speaker thing doesn't work. And actually, Mom says that she's kind of glad it doesn't work! Cuz I love sueaking things over and over and over and...
That is an awesome toy!! Do you destuff stuffies?? I bet your Mom is happy the talking part doesn't work. Our Mom says we make talking toys talk too much!! Hah!

Well just don't get TOO carried away with the rubbing. We let Tommy into the basement once which has new carpet and . . . My mom was horrified to see a bloody faced Dog creeping up the steps. Tommy gets hurt a lot. He has a high pain tolerance. He must have rubbed his face too vigorously.

No, I don't rub that much, and usually not my face.
Sunny&Scooter - No, my teeth aren't that sharp. All of my toys are in pretty good shape! I just like to chew on the squeaker and play keep away or tug-of-war.
Lorenza - I first had to rub my scent all over it, yes. Now, I enjoy chewing on it and getting my mom to try to chase me with it.
