Trying Out Telepathy

Since I can't verbally speak, I come and sit in front of mom when (I think) it's time for bed and try telepathy. It usually works. When mom stands up, I run for the bedroom and jump up on the bed, just in case she had any doubt that I want her to go to bed.

Best Friends

At the Dog Park

On a rainy afternoon, when the ground was wet at the dog park... Guess who got the most exercise? Yeah, mom did.. trying to get me to get off the bench to run and play. I don't do wet.

Fall Is Just Around the Corner!

Mom and I got to entertain my cousin Sophie over the holiday weekend! We decided to take advantage of the cooler weather and visit nearby trails at Potters Bridge Park. As you can see on the ground, the leaves are starting to fall already! Even though most of the leaves are still green, we were surrounded by constantly falling leaves. It made for some great fun!

Sophie had fun meeting a ton of other dogs along the trail. Mom says I'm too over-protective of her and wasn't allowed to meet many of them. I'm not sure why Sophie bothers with them when she has me right there anyway.

Sleeping... And NOT Snoring!

I thought it'd be nice for Mom to take a video of me sleeping when I'm not snoring for once. But you can tell I'm in a deep sleep, facial twitches and paws moving. Usually, when I'm this deep into sleep and moving, Mom says I make little chirp-like barking noises. How embarrassing.

... Okay, so maybe I was just tired after a long, hot walk and chose a strange way of finding a cool place to lay...

Vacation Part 2!

Here's a distant view of the beach at Raccoon Lake where humans can lay by the water and go swimming. Dogs aren't allowed in the swimming area (no complaints here), but mom was told she could take me just past the roped off area to put me in the lake. I was given no choice in the matter. And promptly ran back out as soon as she dropped me in the water. But I have to admit it did feel really good to cool off after our long hike in the woods! I perked back up and started wagging my tail. But don't misunderstand... I'll still never willingly get myself all wet like that.



In fact, there was another beach along a trail that I walked right up to to get a drink... until the waves started coming in! That movement and noise drew me back away from the shoreline. No thanks. I want none of that.



Though, digging the sand was pretty fun. Notice all the sand on my nose. Mom kept wiping it off, but it just kept reappearing. No idea how that happened.



When we finally left the trails for the swings and play area (at my little cousin's request), we happened upon this startling sight...

Yeah. It's a dog. A funny, swing-loving dog. The owner said he "loves" it. I guess he might, since I'd be jumping out first chance I got. He just seems to be chilling.





Silly dogs. I'm too regal for that kind of behavior.

Kong Squiggles Toy Review!

That's right! This lucky pup got another cool toy to review!
The Kong Squiggles is a long, rope-like toy that looks and feels like a stuffy, with a squeaker on both ends and a bungee-like cord in the middle. From the video you'll be able to tell how fun this new toy is! I love squeaky toys!
And since it's made by Kong, it's strong and well-made. Though, mom can't call it a kong toy, since that is reserved for my favorite thing mom puts peanut butter in! Yum!
Though, I have to apologize. Our video editor isn't working and I had an itchy back about halfway through this short video that I just have to scratch. So please disregard that silliness.

Vacation Part 1

Mom and I just got back from vacation last weekend, and it's taken me a long time to catch up on sleep! We had some noisy neighbors that kept me up and made me anxious.


But we still had some great times! We stayed at a lodge right on Raccoon Lake. During the day, we would go walk trails through the woods surrounding the lake. I loved it, but mom had a hard time keeping up!
