Woofstock 09!

(Thanks to Gizmo's dad for several of these pics!)

Mom took me to Woofstock on Saturday! It’s the big fundraising event for the Humane Society that I came from! They even gave me a cool bandana to show that I was a rescue pup from there (the green one. The other one, PetSmart stuck on me when I visited their booth).

There were lots of booths set up for various vendors, and mom took home lots of goodie bags full of treats and toys for me!

Here’s my friend Gizmo chowing down on some yummy treats that they were kind enough to leave out for us!

My best pal Sandy showed up not long after we arrived!

We met up with several of my pack from the Bark Park! Thankfully, Gizmo’s dad took pictures, since my mom forgot her camera, and only had her iphone with us. He took some great ones of us on the mile walk.

Here's me and Buddy:

And Gizmo and me (and Sandy behind me):

And me trying to get mom to walk faster!

And here’s (most of) our Bark Park group at the finish line!

There were all sorts of dogs, from giant-sized to tiny!

There were a couple Blood Hounds, courtesy of the State Sheriff’s department. One was a working dog, the other was just a puppy in training! My mom GUSHED over the Blood Hound puppy! And you can’t tell here, but he was exactly my size. Mom said he’d be surpassing me pretty soon though.

After a couple hours of it, I was ready to go home though!

When I got home, I barely made it in the door before collapsing in tired bliss.

Laney, after Woofstock

Oh, I also wanted to let some of you know that I'm not able to leave comments on many of your blogs, for some reason now. All of those with comment apps other than what is generic for blogger, doesn't let me leave a comment. I don't know what's going on. Mom is looking into it.

Awww! Looks like you had fun, Laney!

Tell your mom I said:

I used my camera's self-timer to get the shots, and I have a function on my camera where when the timer goes off, it takes 2 pictures instead of one. I propped it up on some books, took a few test shots, and used lots of treats and the sit command (which eventually turned into both of them laying down for some reason). I'd tell them to stay, quick reach across and press the shutter on my camera and hunker down behind them. There were LOTS of out takes.

Good job raising money for the orphan dogs and showing off what good family friends they can be.

You sure met lots of cool guys. That bloodhound pup was pretty big, huh?
