And speaking of the HSI… Mom took me to the Humane Society of Indianapolis’ Yappy Hour at a local restaurant last night. I was really hot and humid out, but we decided to brave it and just sit in the shade so we could support the HS and see some other cool pups. 100% of the proceeds went to the shelter.
There were lots of different dogs and their owners.
Here’s one that reminded me of Nala, another Rhodesian Ridgeback! She was super sweet and friendly! She even gave me kisses!
Actually, a lot of dogs gave me kisses, when I stuck my face in front of theirs. Yeah, they knew I was the boss! BOL!
When the food was FINALLY ready, we went over to get in line. Mom had to juggle holding my leash, purse, drink, and food. It wasn’t easy! But I was very good and barely pulled, except when I smelled my favorite smell…
I am never more attentive than when someone has a hot dog or bratwurst! And Mom shared her brat with me! Can we go back there sometime, Mom? That was sure yummy!
OMD Laney we wanted to go SO BAD! But Mommy doesn't get home till close to 6 and we live in B-Ripple and Daddy had class tonight. She was GOING to take one of us but was too overwhelmed with things to do. Bummer... we totally could ahve FINALLY met you!

ReplyDeleteOh yea, brats and hot dogs....yum-o! You were such a good girl Laney and you sure did meet lots of dogs! That Ridgeback was very cute....wait, did you say it was a boy or girl? It's muzzle was wider than mine so I am thinking boy?? Anyway, it sure was cute and it was even light colored like me....I wish I could have been there to play. :) I would have given you kisses too. :)

That sounds like a lot of fun. I wonder if the HS does anything like that in the Houston area. However, I think they would need to do it indoors at the rate this heat is going!
